Lower-Extremity Kinematics of Soccer Players with Chronic Ankle Instability during Running: A Case-Control Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
The purpose of this study was to clarify the characteristics lower-extremity kinematics during running soccer players with chronic ankle instability (CAI) in comparison those without CAI. Twenty-two male college participated study. Twelve were assigned CAI group and ten non-CAI group, diagnosed according Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool. Kinematic data hip, knee, ankle, foot, ground reaction force components stance phase obtained using a three-dimensional motion analysis system. results revealed that who landed inversion other characteristic their lower extremity similar These show are not affected by presence or absence Future studies based on may contribute risk developing also help prevent lateral sprains.

The Mechanical Relation between Chronic Ankle Instability and Pelvic Alignment: A Matched Case-Control Study
Background. Mechanical relation between the foot and pelvic alignment had been studied in healthy subjects and individuals with other musculoskeletal disorders; however, in chronic ankle instability (CAI), it has not yet been determined. Objectives. To investigate the difference in pelvic torsion (PT) among individuals with CAI and uninjured subjects and correlate PT with perceived ankle insta...
متن کاملChronic Ankle Instability Does Not Affect Lower Extremity Functional Performance.
OBJECTIVE: To determine if functional performance is impaired in individuals with self-reported chronic ankle instability. DESIGN AND SETTING: We used a between-groups design to assess 3 functional variables. All data were collected at a Division III college and a military academy. Before testing, all subjects performed a 5-minute warm-up, followed by a series of stretches for the lower extremi...

OBJECTIVE To determine if females with hip abductor weakness are more likely to demonstrate greater knee abduction during the stance phase of running than a strong hip abductor group. STUDY DESIGN Observational prospective study design. SETTING University biomechanics laboratory. PARTICIPANTS 15 females with weak hip abductors and 15 females with strong hip abductors. MAIN OUTCOME MEASU...
متن کاملEffects of Balance Training on Postural Control in Athletes with Chronic Ankle Instability: A Systematic Review
Objective The Objective Ankle sprains are among the most common injuries in athletes. One of the limitations of people with chronic ankle instability is the lack of postural control. Balance and coordination training are among the most common interventions for people with chronic ankle instability. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of balance training on postural co...
متن کاملThe effects of Kinesio tape on compressive and shear forces of ankle joint during single-leg landing for men elite volleyball players with chronic ankle instability
The chronic ankle sprain is the most common injury among athletes, and using the tape is one way to prevent it. The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of the Kinsio-tape on the compressive and shear mechanical forces of the ankle joint during single-leg jump landing. 12 subjects were selected based on inclusion criteria. Subjects were asked to perform landing after jump in th...
